How do researchers find a CRO or a mouse model provider?
They search for the specific model, strain, or service before they email anyone, then compare two or three providers on their websites. BioInformatics reports scientists complete 60 percent or more of the buying process before contacting a rep.
The page that wins is the one that answers the technical question the PI typed: the targeting strategy, the turnaround, the validation data. A 12 page brochure site is eliminated before the email is sent.
